Pondicherry Dental College was established in the year 1990 in a building with only 2 rooms. It was subsequently renamed as Mahatma Gandhi Dental College & Hospital in the year 1995.Mahatma Gandhi Dental College and Hospital was upgraded to present status as Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences on 08.09.2005 vide G.O.Ms.No. of the Govt. of Pondicherry. It is the only Dental Institute in the country in the Govt.

Applications are invited from candidates seeking admission to first year professional degree courses for the academic year 2013 - 14 under the purview of CENTAC. Candidates who have alre ady passed HSc or an equivalent qualifying examination and those who have appeared in such qualifying examination during March /April 2013 are also eligible for admission, subject to fulfilling the stipulated minimum marks in the prescribed subjects for th e various courses and the criteria for age.

The Annamalai University is a unitary, teaching, and residential university. It was founded by the munificence of the farsighted and noble hearted philanthropist and patron of letters the late Hon'ble Dr. Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar of Chettinad, Kt, LL.D., D.Litt. Eligibility:

Age Limt : Should complete the age of 17 by 31.12.2013 and should not exceed 23 by the said date.

Qualification : Must have passed the higher secondary examination or its equivalent in the first attempt with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology taken together and 60% marks in English separately.
